Identity of the Controller

KUCLAB is an independent, non-commercial developer platform operated by:

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of visitor IP addresses is based on Legitimate Interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We do not require consent for this processing because:

Data Minimization & Anonymization

In accordance with GDPR's data minimization principles, we protect your identity by anonymizing all IP addresses immediately upon collection. We never write or store your full IP address on our servers.

Technical Anonymization Method:
For IPv4 addresses, the last octet is set to 0 (e.g., 192.168.1.123 becomes 192.168.1.0).
For IPv6 addresses, the last 80 bits are zeroed out, retaining only the first 48 bits representing the network prefix (e.g., 2001:db8:85a3:8d3:1319:8a2e:370:7348 becomes 2001:db8:85a3::).

This masking renders the stored IP address completely incapable of identifying a specific individual, transforming it into non-personal aggregated analytical data, while still allowing us to determine the approximate country of origin.

Scope of Logged Data

When you visit KucLab, the following details are logged:

Security & Retention Period

The anonymized logs are stored on our secure server inside protected directories. We do not sell, rent, or share these logs with any third parties.

Logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security auditing and basic traffic statistics, after which they are permanently deleted or fully aggregated.

Your Rights under GDPR

Even though stored data is anonymized and no longer constitutes personal data under the GDPR, we respect and support user privacy rights. Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, as well as the right to object to or restrict processing.

If you have any questions or wish to exercise your rights, please reach out to us at [email protected].
